Welcome! An Introduction

It’s been almost exactly 1 year ago to the day that I signed up for my gym membership.  I was 6 weeks postpartum and ready to leave my post baby body in the past. Despite my dislike for long term contractual agreements I went for it.  That day I made an important commitment and put in motion my weight loss journey which has reshaped my life in more ways than one.This past year I have changed the way I think about myself and my health.

I have worked hard every day and have lost nearly 50lbs. (yay for a new wardrobe)! Regardless, my focus remains on what each new day brings, and what I do each day to get where I want to be and to be who I want to be.  I have a new found love of running which has taught me I am strong.  I am continuously testing myself and finding out just what my body is capable of.  I am proud of my lifestyle because it means I can be the example I want to be for my son, Max which is my #1 priority.

This is just as I said: a journey. And I’d like to share it with you along the way.  I plan to post about my workouts, challenges, interesting (and sometimes scary) nutrition facts, and a little about my daily life as a healthy active mom.  Maybe you might find some inspiration here. That would be great!
